Zhengzhou is the capital of Henan province. More than 100 million people live in Henan, the population of Henan ranks No. 1, while the GDP ranks No. 5. in China. Located in east central China, Henan is an integrated important transportation hub. It owns convenient highways, railways and aviation transportation system. Henan is also acting as an important role in the One Belt One Road framework.
The most famous tourist attraction is the Shaolin Temple. The Chinese martial arts was originated and developed in the Shaolin Buddhist Temple in Henan province. So it is called Shaolin KungFu. Shaolin Kung Fu has more than hundreds of extant styles. There is recorded documentation of more than a thousand extant forms, which makes Shaolin the biggest school of martial art in the world. Every year, millions of tourists from all over the world are flying to Xinzheng Int’l airport to visit the Shaolin Temple.
25 km away from the central Zhengzhou city, the airport is also acting as the domestic intersection of national routes from north to south and east to west. The phase 2 airport constructions include a new terminal building (T2), a new GTC (General Traffic transaction Center), an ICC (Information Command Center), and other supporting facilities. Total area of this project is almost 740,000 m2. As a national key project, the local Henan government attached great importance to the whole process.
